TYPES OF CLASSES

1. SERIES 26 HOT YOGA ( 75 class available everyday)

This class is 75 minutes long and consists of a specific sequence of postures intended to open, strengthen, and detoxify the entire body. The Asanas or poses incorporate balance, strength and flexibility.You will sweat, stretch, get strong and be amazed at what you can do! All classes are taught by experienced and knowledgeable teachers who know how to guide practitioners at any level. Our yoga room is heated to allow for a deeper release and to avoid injury.

This class is recommended for everyone, from first day beginners to advanced students. The magic of this class is that everyone is practicing the same posture at different levels of ability, receiving the same benefits. There is an exact position for everyone at every level, which our trained instructors will help you find.

Room is heated to 100 to 105 degrees with high humidity. Class available 7 days a week.
You need a large towel for your mat and a hand towel for this class.

2.HOT FLOW (60 minutes) – Hot Flow classes available everyday.

Vinyasa yoga, in which movement is synchronized to the breath, is a term that covers a broad range of yoga classes. This style is sometimes also called FLOW YOGA, because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance. The breath becomes an important component because the teacher will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. Vinyasa is literally translated from ancient Indian Language, Sanskrit. Vinyasa means “movement or position”. In terms of yoga asana or posture we can interpret this as a connection between movement and breath. Flow classes are 60 minutes long.

A cat-cow stretch is an example of a very simple vinyasa, because the spine is arched on an inhale and rounded on an exhale. A sun salutation sequence is an example of a more complex vinyasa. Each movement in the series is done on an inhalation or an exhalation. Come try one of our HOT FLOW classes at BK HOT YOGA and ask one of our excellent instructors how to make your own practice more challenging or easier. Modifications can be made to individualize your practice.

( Hot Flow 90- 95 degrees, low humidity)

3. GENTLE YOGA

These are great classes for beginners who prefer unheated, seniors, women growing through menopause or the advance practitioner who wants a gentler class.

This class is conducted in the larger non-heated room.  Personal portable fans are welcome.

4. BEGINNER SERIES–MODIFIED HALF PRIMARY  SERIES ( non-heated class)
A 60 minute non-heated class is conducted by teachers who have studied Ashtanga with Ally Ford. This class is a series, a specific set of postures following a particular sequence. This is a great class for those who want an all levels class and want to be able to guage their progression.  Available Saturday afternoons, Monday evenings, and Thursday mid-mornings beginning November.

5. REGULAR YOGA

This is a hot flow class without the heat.
